How to Apply for Bedford Veterans Quarters
Description:
60 brand new furnished rooms featuring:
• Refrigerator in each room
• Central air conditioning
•
Free use of laundry
•
Separate wing for women
•
Rent based on 30% of income
Requirements:
All of the following are required in order to be considered for housing:
• General or honorable discharge from military
• Documentation of current homeless status
• Ability to pass CORI
• Sober/Clean for 120 days
• Annual income under the Section 8 limit of $29,450*
*There are 4 rooms with rent of $490 with no maximum income limits, but a minimum income of $16,800. Veterans with Sec 8 vouchers are encouraged to apply for one of these rooms.

1. Form DD214 (discharge form)
2. Written proof of homelessness:
Letter from social worker
or Letter from shelter
3. Income information (bring what is applicable for your situation) :
W-2 statement from 2006
Pay stubs
Social Security letter
Veterans benefits letter
2006 federal tax return
3. Employer Information (if applicable):
Name, address and phone number
4. Previous Landlord Information:
Name, address and phone number
